  1. Holy mother mary of bends that looks like a bannana
  2. real easy fix is just mount on the bottom of the case. You were going to suck air into the case anyways, who cares if air is drawn from the bottom or the front. Second option is just to gut an old fan, use the empty fan housing as an extender.
  3. hardest part is holding back :D: You just want to rip into it like a big juicy steak. Walk away if your frustrated, taking pics helps slow you down and see things you would not have if you rushed ...... and gives us some nice nerd porn to drool over. Snug your screws up initially all around, if it looks good then tighten them all. You can remount as many times as you want, you only get to break your card once ;):
  4. You cant beat the Mighty ThanksGiving Leftovers Sandwich, if its on your plate it goes in the sandwich lol That is the temps given by the seek thermal, its a built in reader. I double checked with a laser reader which is reads slightly lower but still within a few degrees of what this. I would like to redo the test but with a higher fan speed on the stock blower fan. I like 20% because I cant hear the card
  5. I wouldnt mind seeing some temps taken over the mem area, also using different fan speeds as well as voltage differences and how they reflect on mem temps but only if you are into it, please dont if your not comfortable doing so. I have a titan, self mod but more or less the same to the corsair bracket in how it works. With 20% fan speed i get 105f/41c over the backside mem (all at stock voltages). 68f room temp and my card idle is 21c (about one deg over ambient) Same room temp in valley I reach 38c max. I use a H110 in push, stock fans at 800rpm https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5669/22573404030_34007e4ac3_h.jpg' alt='22573404030_34007e4ac3_h.jpg'>Screenshot_2015-10-16-09-19-19 by cory ekman, on Flickr[/img]
  6. if your temps are spiking then its a bad mount, could be its smeared the paste or as simple as not being snugged down enough. The last one is easy figure out. Push on the pump a bit towards the die or tighten the screws just a tad and if your temps drop then you know you need to tighten the pump up a bit. If your card is warping your doing something wrong. Keep paste on hand, ive had to remount several times before getting it right, two or three times if you have never tired this is not uncommon
  7. what exactly did you snap. If you post a pic ive seen several fixes of all kinds which could get you back up and running in no time. Stand offs are pretty simple using hollow rigid tubing of some type, pen shafts ive seen used, stacked rubber washers, beads are great as they have a small hollow opening and non conductive and come in all shapes and sizes. There is also waiting for official parts though :)
