  1. Just an update. Could not get any reconciliation out of Corsair. The ticket has been open for months now, and their responses have been weeks apart, only when prompted by me, basically saying they're looking into it and will get back to me. I've sent them logs and videos of the issues, as they requested, but can't seem to get any update from them other than they're looking into it and will get back with me. My rep even said he escalated to his supervisor since he wasn't getting a response back from the necessary team. My last contact with them was on 6/22 - it is now 7/9. I just sent another message via my ticket and was met with an email formatted like I had just opened a ticket - seems like the original was closed. I'm done with it. I'll just deal with the crappy Sidetone and horrible UI lag (mic volume) until it's time to upgrade the headset again, which will NOT be Corsair.
  2. Just as an update, Corsair support did get back to me shortly after posting that I had not received a response. I went through the basic troubleshooting with them. Wound up having to send my logs to them, and waiting on a response back.
  3. I will look into it when I get home. Last I tried, I'm pretty sure I changed profiles, but I'll create a fresh new one and see if it does anything. I have tried holding the mic button for a few seconds. Sidetone does toggle. I can tell when it's enabled, because there is more background noise, like on the HS70, but I can just barely hear my voice through the headset. My own "internal voice" mostly blocks me from hearing myself through the headset, and with ANY kind of audio actually playing through the headset, my voice through Sidetone is completely inaudible. So it's not that Sidetone isn't engaging, it's that it's so quiet, it's unusable, basically as if it were off.
  4. I already did on Monday 5/17, and received no response. I replied to my ticket email again today asking for status, and no response. Ticket# 2004320540
  5. When I had a Commander Pro, I had this issue as well, even when other monitoring apps weren't open. What fixed it for me was manually setting the fan type (3-pin vs 4-pin) in iCUE, rather than using the "Auto" setting. This problem was still present when I sold the PC that had the Commander Pro. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro for the new owner, and installed bare minimum software, one of them being the new iCUE v4.xx. Once again, the fans disappeared on the Commander Pro, and setting them to 4-pin manually fixed it. Fans were Corsair HD120 RGB.
  6. Just did this check, and yes, the Dark Core RGB Pro SE dongle does cause this issue. As soon as I pulled the dongle, the lights started working between iCUE and Wallpaper Engine. I plugged the mouse in wired via USB (no dongle), and the lights stayed on, full functionality of the mouse. Toggled the LED effects on and off in Wallpaper Engine for multiple wallpapers, and everything worked as it should. I popped the dongle back in and connected mouse via Slipstream, USB cable unplugged, and everything remained working as it should, with iCUE providing lighting when LED effects off in Wallpaper Engine and vice versa. However, once I closed both Wallpaper Engine and iCUE and reopened them, the problem came back again. Unplug the dongle, everything starts working again, even after plugging back in. Now that all being said, my mouse never lit up when Wallpaper Engine LED effects were working. Everything else lit up (light strips via Lighting Node Pro, H100i RGB Platinum AIO w/ ML120 Pro RGB fans), but the mouse did not, even when wired via USB. EDIT: The mouse wired via USB is causing the same problem, so it's not just the dongle. If I close and reopen iCUE with the mouse wired via USB, no dongle, it causes the lights to stop working with Wallpaper Engine. Unplug the mouse, and the lights come back on, just like the dongle. Once you unplug and re-seat the cable or dongle for the mouse, everything remains working between iCUE and Wallpaper Engine, either wired USB or dongle, as long as you don't close/reopen iCUE and Wallpaper Engine or reboot.
  7. UPDATE: Well I tried to uninstall and reinstall iCUE, uninstall and reinstall the headset, multiple reboots, no dice. If I click on the slider somewhere, rather than drag the slider, it seems to jump to the correct mic volume. Click and drag on the slider is what causes the problem. Looking at the mic volume setting in Windows, it mimics the erratic behavior that is happening in iCUE. Sidetone still borked as well.
  8. I understand that, but the real problem is I can't use multipoint and Playstation simultaneously. If I could have multipoint enabled on my PC then pop it into my Playstation, I'd have no complaints. But as it sits, if I want to go from my PC to my PS5, I have to put the dongle in Playstation mode, flip my mouse over to bluetooth (since multipoint is now disabled...also requires another a BT dongle in my case), put the dongle in the PS5, then reverse the steps when I want to use it on my PC again. It's a clunky solution that just doesn't make sense to use unless you're strictly on PC. Also, we need a good wireless mechanical keyboard that uses Slipstream to really complete the set. The only Slipstream keyboard available is rubber dome. I'm currently using a K63 Wireless with the lapboard. If Corsair would make a wireless Slipstream RGB mechanical keyboard that locks into the K63 lapboard, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Any update on when sidetone will be fixed for Virtuoso headsets? It's too quiet at max volume, and is basically unusable. It's been a complaint for a long time now across the forums, I've read, and still hasn't been fixed on the XT. You can't really advertise that as a feature if it plain doesn't work. The sidetone on my HS70 works fine, not so on the XT I just purchased.
  9. iCUE is not required to use the headset, but: 1) You have to use iCUE to set your RGB profile - you can set a profile/color/turn it off and it will save after closing iCUE, though. 2) You'll lose EQ control. However, since this headset comes with Dolby ATMOS via the Dolby Access app, there is a custom EQ setting in Dolby Access you can use to EQ without iCUE, with or without virtual surround. iCUE's EQ settings don't apply when ATMOS is enabled anyway. 3) iCUE is required to set up multipoint, if you want to use that. I was going to use multipoint myself, but I use the headset with both a PS5 and PC. Multipoint is not supported on Playstation - there's a Playstation mode and a multipoint mode for the dongle. Also, you have to use the audio dongle for multipoint, can't use the dongle that came with your mouse, which pretty much makes multipoint useless for me. Multipoint was one of the main features I was excited for (and a driving factor for the upgrade), but there are still too many gotchas it would seem. Logitech has had this figured out for quite some time with their unifying receivers, so not sure what's taking Corsair so long.
  10. Just purchased the newly released Virtuoso XT headset, and whenever I try to adjust the mic volume in iCUE, the slider goes crazy, jumping up and down all over the place until it finally settles. If I try to disable the mic while it's jumping around, the mic disables/enables erratically as well, confirmed with the voice prompts. I can change the mic volume fine in the Windows sound properties, only when trying from iCUE does it not work. Also, Sidetone isn't working, or is super quiet. I've read about this with previous Virtuoso iterations, but figured surely Corsair would have this fixed by now. Nope. I can't hear myself with Sidetone at all. I know the mic works, and was even able to enable "listen to this device" in the Windows sound properties, can hear myself just fine that way, albeit with huge latency. I know Sidetone is enabled. I've used the mic button as well as enabling in iCUE. When it's on, I can hear static/background noise, but my voice is not heard. Upgrading from an HS70 headset, and Sidetone works fine on that one. Any updates on a fix for these two things? EDIT: Using latest Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (20H2), latest iCUE 4.11.xxx
  11. Same issue here, all RGB devices are blank when Wallpaper Engine is running with iCUE support enabled. Running latest iCUE.
  12. Strange, I can't hear a thing from either of my pumps at any speed, quiet, balanced, or extreme, I never hear them, even with fans at super low levels. I always just leave them at extreme, because I can't hear a difference and it results in better coolant temps. Never have tried with all fans completely off, though, but it stays fairly quiet where I use both PCs most of the time, and my fan profiles are very quiet, minimum speeds on all fans. I have 9 fans in my PCO11 rig where the H150i lives, and only have 2 of them running at idle. However, neither of my PCs are right next to me, either. My main rig is about 4-5 feet to the left of me while sitting at my desk, and my HTPC is about 10 feet away from the couch.
  13. Never tried the Elite Capellix, but my pumps have always been silent at all speeds. Right now I'm using an H150i Pro RGB in my main rig and just installed H100i RGB Platinum in my second rig, can't hear the pumps on either of them at any speed setting, and the PCs aren't loud (silent fan profiles). Sounds like you either have a defective pump, or you've mounted the cooler in such a way that air has gotten into the pump. Shouldn't be an issue if mounted horizontally at the top of the case, but if you've got it mounted vertically, make sure tubes are down at the bottom, not at the top.
  14. Bit the bullet and swapped out the CX750M for an RM850x - MASSIVE improvement! Can't hear the PSU at all now, and after 30 minutes of load there was just the slightest bit of warm air moving out of the PSU, compared to the CX which was blasting heat out of the PSU. Problem solved! I also replaced my stock 3700X Wraith cooler and front 2x120mm SP120 fans with a Corsair H100i RGB Platinum - another MASSIVE improvement! The PC is totally silent now, can't hear it at all above my speakers while gaming, while before the PC was super loud. Temps on my CPU before the 3080 (with the 2060) were in the low 60s to mid 70s while gaming, but after the 3080 swap, they skyrocketed to mid 80s (extra heat dump from the GPU overpowering the CPU cooler I imagine). Now I'm in the mid 50s with the occassional spike to the mid 60s. The CPU was also throttling back to around 4050MHz due to heat, now it's sitting around 4250-4350Mhz again. Overall super satisfied now. New H100i cooler and RM850x PSU made a huge difference with the 3080!
