  1. Buy what you want, but most Scimitar owners like myself have no problems once the color scheme is set to a solid color. I am patiently waiting for them to fix the software and/or firmware before I resume to the fancy color wave.
  2. I keep wanting to cheat on her with a nasty little Nyth (aka side piece).
  3. The mouse IS awesome... in between crashes. Luckily, I have it plugged into a front USB slot so I can pull it in and out to get it back to normal for a few hours at a time. I've done a LOT of troubleshooting with this thing and cannot put my finger on why the STRAFE RGB and the Scimitar do not get along.
  4. UPDATE: I thought I had my problems solved after disabling some other software, but I'm back to the same old crashes despite having fully updated firmware and CUE software.
  5. When I was having issues, it would happen during a game, just bumping around the web, and once I came back after having been away for a few hours and it had seized up the same way.
  6. Definitely upgrade the firmware, but it sounds like you have a defective mouse. I never had a mouse fail right out of the box like that.
  7. After disabling third party access to the Alienware software, I had no problems for a little over 48 hours. To test my theory, I re-enabled the 3rd party access and experienced the same failure as I had previously after about 2 hours. Based on this, I believe my problem was an incompatibility between the CUE software and/or Scimitar mouse using the lighting sync with other 3rd party software that controls lighting schemes in my system.
  8. Are any of the other people having trouble using the Alienware AlienFX software with their Scimitars? I've been doing some extensive troubleshooting with multiple Scimitars (I received a replacement through Amazon) and it's starting to look like my problem was a compatibility issue between the STRAFE RGB and/or Scimitar lighting schemes and the Alienware software I had installed on my computer that had the "Enable Third Party AlienFX Access" option selected. I've disabled the third party access and haven't had trouble using the Scimitar CUE linked to my STRAFE RGB in over two days. (Before this I had to unplug and re-insert my Scimitar between three and four times a day.)
  9. Here are my logs from the Scimitar issues.2015-11-13T11-16-31.txt 2015-11-13T11-14-39.txt
  10. I am having the same issues with a new Scimitar (using a new STRAFE RGB keyboard and the newest version of CUE). Has anybody solved this issue yet?
