Hello guys,
After I did my last build almost 5 years ago I just moved on the side and stopped looking at the market, new stuff, etc and now I'm trying to catch up with everything. Now with the new build, I want to make a diagram like before so it will be easier for me to build it and not miss something (buying or connecting). Check attached pictures. After we discuss what stuff should I use, airflow, commander pros, lightning nodes, etc I'll make a diagram and post it here to double-check. From what I saw on the market - I'll stick with my favorite brand - Corsair.
So, let's start with the parts I'm going to buy: CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD MB: Asus ROG STRIX Z690-E GAMING WIFI ATX RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Video: EVGA RTX 3090Ti Hybrid (the new one with 360 radiator) Case: Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB PSU: Corsair HX Platinum 1000 W 80+ Platinum Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 Storage 2: WD 4TB Gold and WD 1TB Black (from old PC) Fans: I want to have similar fans in the case, not 3 SP Elite from the case, 3 ML elite from the CPU cooler, and 3 from EVGA from the graphics card.
Addictional: iCUE LC100 Case Accent Lighting Panels — Mini Triangle — 9x Tile Starter Kit
Let's start with the fans and case airflow - the case is coming with SP elite fans and the CPU cooler is with ML Elite fans. I think I'm going to get rid of them and buy either iCUE QL120 or ML120 Pro - 10x. From optic, the QL is way better looking, but from performance, I think it's the ML Pro - not sure.
3 for the front, 3 on top of the case on the CPU radiator, and 3 on the side where I'll mount the 360 radiator from the graphics card. And last but not least will be the 10th fan on the back of the case for exhaust.
Here is how I see it - check the picture. I think only 3 intake fans will be enough. Probably the airflow in the case will be negative but it will work. What's your opinion?
Is this setup good enough - top of the case H150i Elite as exhaust, middle(side) GPU radiator as exhaust or should I switch them somehow?
Let's move on with the next question - the case has two HDD cages (the right amount I need), but there is not enough space for the PSU from what I saw in YouTube videos - so, is there any way I can put two HDD in that case - with/without cages. Putting 360 radiator from the graphics cars makes it impossible with the two HDDs.
How many Commander Pro's and Lightning Node do I need to buy?
Thanks in advance for your reply, have a great weekend!
