Nothing in particular, but I like computers and some gaming ofc, RGB LED's, cyberpunk, sci-fi. space... stuff like that.
  1. I'd say it's a bit of both (mouse and how I use it). I do adjust the mouse often I guess, by lifting it in the palm with the thumb and pinky fingers. I try not to press them ofc, but it often happens (happened) anyway. Not much force is needed to press them either. I was eventually fed up with it and as said pried those buttons out, so problem solved :) But thanks for replying! EDIT: Anyway, the point of this thread was just to see if there were others thinking the same. Or - maybe it is just me :P
  2. To add the my OP, I don't have big hands either. So it's not that I hit those buttons because of that. It's not like I'm out to change the mouse industry (as if), but when I see a mouse with thumb buttons, well that is not a plus for me. That's a con.
  3. Haha yeah, I adjust the mouse position often I guess, by lifting it up a bit. That's when I accidentally press those buttons. But it happened at other times as well, just using it.
  4. Am I the only one that finds those side thumb buttons incredibly annoying? I used it on Linux a while ago, so I couldn't easily reconfigure them either (no iCUE for Linux). I constantly pressed them when I didn't mean to. So I ended up prying them out with a flat-iron screwdriver! Instant improved mouse! And I've been using it lilke that for the past few months now btw, and still I still mean that. I sometimes accidentally press the top DPI button as well, but not nearly as much. And I've learned to quickly go back to the old setting I had anyway. Plus, that function is actually useful at times. (Then there are the nightmare thumb-keypad mouses? What are they thinking? Lol!) Just wondering :sillygrin
  5. Haven't checked in this forum for a while. Just figured I'd mention that I've long since disabled the power saving mode using iCUE. Haven't had that issue since, I'm using it wired though. The fact that power saving mode also applies to it wired should really be fixed imho. There's no need for it then.
  6. Randomly checking up on the forum again. Just wanted to say that the pattern still holds. even if I've now changed it over to my Windows box. I don't use iCUE btw. I have to disconnect - re-connect the mouse to have a smooth experience after every boot up / log-in. Otherwise, it'll revert to the minor power save mode (while wired!) after some 10 seconds. Feels shorter some times, I haven't timed it lately. And then when you try to move the mouse ,the pointer feels stuck. It is annoying.
  7. Just an addendum. Kinda spoke to soon. One on/off (computer standby off, not real off) cycle and one day later, it was back to another power saving mode, but this time after 10 seconds. And not as pronounced, I didn't have to move the mouse as much before the pointer also moved. But it was still noticeable. Another soft reset fixed it. Again. Starting to see a pattern here.. EDIT: Pattern holds. It definately seems to revert to a "minor power save" mode after a computer reboot. By which I mean it has an ever so slight pause / lag after about 10 seconds of mouse inactivity. A mouse soft reset fixes it. Apparently also a mouse power cycling (unplug / re-connect) seems to fix it. I find the latter a bit odd as I thought the mouse was powerless upon shutting down / rebooting the computer (as mentioned, the "stand-by off", so maybe not, but the mouse RGB light is still off. Also, it's got a battery inside). So I'm a bit puzzled by that. But as long as it works.. Still, I'd prefer the non-power save mode setting to stick. Especially when using it as a wired mouse. For what's it worth, I probably have firmware v. 0.6.70 (not sure as I can't see it in Linux afaik, it's from a note I made when I had Windows and iCUE).
  8. The mouse seemed to enter a standby mode after 30 seconds of inactivity. After that, you'd have to move it a greater distance before the pointer would move also. This was driving me a little nuts! Luckily, a soft reset seems to have fixed the issue! There's no iCUE for my OS (Linux Mint), but I had Window 10 on a laptop a few months back (not any longer). I am pretty sure I set the mouse to power saving mode back then (for wireless ofc). Apparently, this also applies even while using it wired  (I haven't used this mouse for a few months, until now). Just thought I'd post this here anyway. Plus, it's really a bug / oversight, and they should fix that.
  9. Ah yes, there's that. Didn't think about that atm, thanks! :D: I just tried it, importing all my profiles again, seems to work except for one that got added anyway. Tried it twice. No biggie though.
  10. Any chance anyone got firmware 1.33 for Strafe RGB uploaded somewhere? I just want my keyboard to work under Linux (with the ckb unofficial driver) as well as windows, as it did before I stupidly updated the firmware. I kind of doubt it, but figured I'd ask. I have a nordic layout btw, not sure if that's important.
  11. A "cancel" option to import profile dialogue: http://i64.tinypic.com/333hh5d.png (If I'm to stretch this a bit, this could do with a list too, where you select which ones you want to import by marking them first, then this dialogue could pop up if names collide.)
  12. I'd like a feature to save / restore the keyboard firmware manually.
  13. (Edited out picture) Just as a sidenote to your request. If it is exactly 5.5 seconds, you could make a double gradient that lasts 11 seconds.
  14. I just wanted to say thanks for this! Installed with no problems as per the instructions. This is regarding the "ckb beta-v0.2.3", I haven't tried the macro version mentioned above by Frickler. My Corsair Strafe RGB now works on my Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon 64-bit (I haven't updated in a while, I'm a pretty casual Linux user for the time being). I've only installed it and played around with it a bit. Seems to work great! Nice touch with the "Lock lights" btw! (Except the Scroll lock doesn't seem to work, just saying). As for layouts I have "Norwegian", or is it "Nordic" probably, so I chose "Swedish", which seems to work great (from my understanding basically the same layout, except two keys are swapped. Which I've done, but that's not really important as it doesn't affect the lighting).
