  1. So what speed are you running the memory at now? have you managed to get the machine booting into windows with the memory at 3200? you have the exact same kit as me, I could get it booting randomly with 3200 and the latest bios but have just left it set at 3000 for now as it boots every time and stable in windows, I found that when i did manage to boot into windows at 3200 random applications would crash so wasn't very stable. in the bios I basically select the XMP profile so it sets the timings on the memory and then override the speed from 3200 to 3000 and also set the memory voltage to 1.35 manually, its generally very stable once doing this and works fine. hopefully a few bios revisions later from ASUS and I'll be able to achieve the golden 3200 speeds!
  2. Yeah Same here, I have loads of corsair stuff, AX860I PSU, Keyboard/Mouse, Case, Coolers...... they are just blatantly ignoring this now which is disgusting!
  3. Corsair don't you find it a bit odd that everyone that has moved away from the Corsair memory to another brand has been able to get it working without any issues? Can you explain this? Maybe its time you actually did something about it like offer us people still waiting for that magical fix some modules that actually work at the rated speeds??
  4. Yeah update please! I seem to remember you said you were working closely with Asus to resolve the issues so an insight into any developments would be good. Thanks!
  5. yeah i would like to know the same, this has gone on for months now!
  6. Tell a lie! its still rubbish and failed a cold boot! so back to 3000. this whole situation is pathetic, something is going in the bin soon, memory or mobo or BOTH!
  7. ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming - Updated BIOS 1206 - Max Memory Speed 3100 with just the standard memory voltage for its rated speed of 3200. boots consistently at 3100 so i guess its a little better as 3000 was the max before on 1204. 3200 still doesn't want to boot, even with some extra VCCIO and SA voltage. so yeah try harder ASUS, thanks!
  8. 3000mhz and below is easy to achieve now with the latest bios updates. 3200 however seems to be a bit elusive!
  9. Thanks Henry, That's good to see the 3200 kit working in other boards fine, shame the 3200 kit i have wont play nicely with my Asus board! do we have any tech info on why the Asus boards are so bad with these kits? is it just the Asus boards?
  10. Hey Wafox, out of interest have you tried the Corsair Ram in the Gigabyte board? and the G.Skill Ram in the ASUS board? just interested to see how the ASUS works using a different memory manufacturer and if the Corsair ram works in another Mobo brand without issues. Thanks!
  11. is that tumble weed i see blowing past this thread?
  12. 1.512v to the memory? that's a bit high isn't it? any errors when under load?
  13. i love these lines from the product page on the corsair website for the offending memory. Compatibility tested across 100 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance Part of our exhaustive testing process includes performance and compatibility testing on most every 100 Series motherboard on the market – and a few that aren’t. Designed for high-performance overclocking on Intel 100 Series motherboards The DDR4 form factor is optimized for the latest Intel 100 Series motherboards and offers higher frequencies, greater bandwidth, and lower power consumption than DDR3 modules. Vengeance LPX DDR4 modules are compatibility-tested across 100 Series motherboards for reliably fast performance. There’s XMP 2.0 support for trouble-free automatic overclocking. And, they’re available in multiple colors to match your motherboard, your components, or just your style.:bigeyes::bigeyes:
  14. oh Asus Z170 Pro Gaming BIOS 1104... Great!! updated, selected the XMP profile for 3200, Same crap failed to overclock message so back to manual 3000mhz settings. this is seriously getting boring now Corsair/ASUS. god knows what environment you tested this memory in for you to say it works with Z170 chipsets, it clearly doesnt and i actually dont care who's fault it is anymore just get it fixed!
