  1. The issue (as it turns out) is an Apple one - iOS 8 has broken this capability for everyone: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6585780 http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25975084/playing-itunes-purchased-movies-using-safari-drm-protected-content-ios http://support.airstash.com/entries/55924774-Known-Issues-with-iOS-8-and-or-iPhone-6-6-
  2. The latest CUE release re enables saving profiles to the device, btw.
  3. Can you tell if the switch is just clicking once? (Making sure the issue isn't a mechanical one)
  4. What I want is a utility that uses rules to automatically populate the field for me - I use Tag & Rename, and it's decent.
  5. Great idea - thanks. Are there utilities that will populate the tag ("Sort Name" in iTunes, I believe)?
  6. The only current way to initialize the clock on the Voyager Air & Voyager Air 2 drives is to connect to the internet - using Wireless Passthru or Ethernet Passthru. Once the drive is connected to the internet, the internal clock will be synchronized and the date/time stamp when creating/copying files on the drive should be correct.
  7. And you are trying to copy the file "VoyagerAir (2.0.0).apk" to the same folder and it won't let you? Very strange - I've got multiple Kindle Fire HD tablets and I've side-loaded the app on all of them. Have you tried copying it to a different location? (As long as you remember where it is, you'll be fine). Did you change the Setting to allow installing apps? (Step 3 above)
  8. - What version of the Kindle do you own? - Have you tried copying a different file, and/or saving to a different location on the Kindle?
  9. Our app has been stuck in Amazon's release process for two weeks. They have not yet approved it for use with HD devices (like their tablets), and the only response we get to multiple emails asking for information is a cut-and-paste reply. It appears the same thing has happened to a number of other developers, who are stuck - like we are - waiting for approval. In the meantime, you can follow these steps to install the app on a Kindle Fire HD or Kindle Fire HDX (and it works just fine): Download the Android app from the Corsair site here Unzip the downloaded file. Enable your Kindle Fire Tablet to install apps: go to "Settings > Device > Allow Installation Of Applications" and set the value to "On" Connect your tablet to your PC or Mac via USB, and copy the application file ("VoyagerAir (2.0.0).apk") to your tablet (put it in the "Downloads" folder) Disconnect the tablet from your PC/Mac. Go to the Amazon app store and download the app "ES File Explorer" (it is free). Open ES File Explorer and find the application file you moved to your tablet (you put it in the "Downloads" folder). Press the app file to launch the Android installer. Respond to all of the prompts to install the Voyager Air app. At this point the Voyager Air app should appear as an installed app on your device. If you try this and for some reason it doesn't work, please contact me asap. Bill
  10. The new Voyager Air server/app uses the following metadata for music and video files: Music: Title Album Artist (if present) or Artist Album Genre Track No. Artwork Videos: Title Show (for TV shows) Season Number (for TV shows) Episode Number (for TV shows) Artwork I use iTunes to tag videos (but it is very slow). There are many music tagging utilities available (I use Tag&Rename). There is one metadata-related issue that we know about and that will be fixed in a future release: the server uses Album Artist instead of Artist if it has a value. This works fine for the Album view of a compilation album ("Now This Is Music - Various Artists") but keeps the track from appearing when using Artist view, and doesn't show the actual artist when playing the compilation album. The update will save and use both "Artist" and "Album Artist" values.
  11. Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.corsair.voyagerair.android iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/corsair-voyager-air/id650718402 Amazon App Store: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Components-Inc-Voyager-Air/dp/B00KKQM5I4/
  12. We have tested the new Android app on both the Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX, and it works quite well. No idea why it is taking Amazon so long - I know they are distracted with the Fire TV and a new 3D smartphone.
  13. The new release is available for download. The Android app is also available from Google Play, and the iOS app is available from iTunes. We are still waiting for Amazon to approve the updated app. The new software is a dramatic improvement, with clients for iOS, Android, and web browsers. Big changes include: 1. Smart media library management Separates TV shows from movies; organizes shows by season and episode. Organizes music by artist, album, genre, and song title Organizes photos by year and month 2. Expanded video format support You can now use the Voyager Air app to select and play your MKV and AVI videos (with the "Play With" and "Copy Link" options). The new app is integrated with third-party video players like VLC and nPlayer to let you go beyond the default video formats. 3. Cloud Synchronization You can synchronize your Voyager Air or Voyager Air 2 to your Dropbox and Google Drive accounts. [updated to reflect app availability]
