Yup. Exact same thing happened to me. Same color and everything. Another one bites the dust. Unacceptable bull****. Why doesnt corsair just disable this update button or something it's practically an emergency at this point, everytime someone presses update they're losing money.

Well. I had the same issue, although much more subtle, in my borderless windowed Rocket League (G-sync monitor) and switching it to full screen fixed it.. Why is this? How did you know that was the issue? Why can I not play games in windowed without stuttering while I have iCue open? I almost thought I was going crazy and it wasn't actually stuttering.. until I switched to full screen and saw it get smooth as butter.

Just wanted to bump this and make an update for those who have the same issue. I went to Corsair support and they were little help, suggesting to replace the USB cable as if a micro usb is so proprietary. I told them to cut to the chase and tell me if the firmware is indeed bricked, is there anyway for me to fix it? They said no, they will need to replace. Fair enough, I initiated a return with Amazon, sent it back, put in my new one today, and wouldn't you know it.. It works perfectly. The rainbow colors all came back and iCue is recognizing the pump now.. Finally, after all this troubleshooting.. So bottom line is DO NOT PRESS UPDATE FIRMWARE ON YOUR H115i Platinum!! It bricks the firmware at least some of the time, as evident by the new posts on this forum with people with the same problems. I am never going near that update button again. Positive note I guess is all the disconnects are gone because of iCue 3.15.

This is the EXACT same problem I made a thread about 2 weeks ago... NO ONE SHOULD UPDATE THE FIRMWARE ON THEIR RGB PLATINUMS. It bricks the cooler right away. Corsair support was no help and no one could help me because the firmware is bricked. All I did was send it back to amazon, put in a new one, and it works great now, and I am never pressing that update button again.

Yeah, my cooler disappeared after I tried to do a firmware update on it as well. Completely gone, RGB on the fans is turned off, and they're running at jet engine speed. No one seems to have a solution, I'm just going to return it. This is unacceptable.

This is exactly my concern too, and corsair support is giving me the runaround talking about rma'ing the cable, when I know 100% that's not the problem. Very close to ordering an Nzxt kraken off Amazon and returning this one when I get the kraken.

Sorry I hadn't realized you were replying to the thread I made, thought it was another post I made. I had uninstalled RGB Fusion to see if it would work, but I just reinstalled to check and no it isn't. Just my motherboard and my Corsair Vengeance RAM.

I'm using a gigabyte z390 aorus elite. I have a thread detailing exactly what's wrong and what I've tried.

It does not unfortunately. Stops the constant disconnecting but it still doesn't show up. .

Ah yes I've done that several times. Seeing how my rgb fans are completely dark, and they worked for the first 10 minutes perfectly until I tried a firmware update and it said it failed and then I haven't seen it since, is it possible that my cooler is stuck in bootloader mode? USB deview recognizes it and sees it's there but rgb fans are dark and icue can't find it at all.

Hey! Thank you very much. Eager to see if this will fix my issues. Edit: well it seems the disconnecting repeatedly has stopped so that I can keep icue open to manage my ram and keyboard, but the cooler still is nowhere to be found sadly.

I'm going to have to try that when I get home, one thing I have not. I agree. I sat here refreshing the update page for way too long then I'd like to admit yesterday, losing my mind a little bit.

Quiet hey? Mine is not showing and it seems to be stuck on max fan speed... sounds like a jet engine as soon as I turn my pc on.. which I'm not sure which I'd like more, optimal gaming performance or a quiet pc at this point? Tell me, does the rgb on your fans work? Mine shut right off when it disappeared. Also for me, in USB deview it's in there says it's connected and says it's good to go...

Going directly into a USB header on my motherboard. Tried multiple cables and headers, all seems equally not working.
