  1. Computer in idle - this service taking 8% CPU. Great. I have an MSI board but what is actually doing? I have all sensors off. 3700x AMD btw.
  2. I've been removing Corsair stuff from my PC over the last 2 years. Got fed up of them because of iCUE and because there are better products out there. RGB is nice but I can live without it. The premium price you pay for them shouldn't come with all this issues.
  3. Thats because this folder is inside the Users folder.
  4. Void mic mute/unmute is not working. Both button or moving up mic.
  5. Failed to locate CLink service. CoPro ain't working. iCUE is not starting with Windows either. Void Pro surround sound broke again, like usual. CPU usage is very high for Ryzen still. Can't there be an update without issues? Russian Roulette is less risky than updating iCUE.
  6. Discord is also known to take some resources but not as much as iCUE (or atleast if you are not in several servers with constant traffic) I've managed to idle my 3700 with iCUE using sz Ryzen Balanced v4 power plan. Voltages go below 1.0 easily but still if I close iCUE they drop further to <0.8 and most cores go to sleep. The issue is present for all CPUs anyway. New Ryzen CPUs are more trigger happy when it comes to CPU usage iCUE taking huge amounts of CPU issue been there for ages - now we are just noticing it much more because of this.
  7. Commander pro is a fan hub so you'd need to be more specific about your issue. All you need is a SATA power cable from your PSU and an empty USB header on your motherboard.
  8. I managed to make it work with a custom windows power plan "sz Ryzen Balanced V4" Not ideal but better than default. It idles at ~0.98V - closing iCUE it will idle at <0.8V instead of being locked to 1.48V all the time. This will also gimp your performance a tiny little bit. Might not be noticiable unless you run benchmarks.
  9. Never update iCUE unless you really need to. The software is known to cause more problems than fixes when updating it.
  10. iCUE is bad. Real bad. People know this, specially those who lurk this place. There is not much to add to that. You either ditch iCUE/Corsair and move onto something else or just deal with it. Sad considering the price tag for Corsair products but that's how it is. Sadly Corsair still have huge armies of defenders or paid media and still able to trick people into their ecosystem but once you are in... it's constant problems and most of time is iCUE being hot garbage.
  11. If you want less CPU usage from iCUE you need to remove devices not keep adding more. Seeing how Corsair doesn't mention this issue at all I wouldn't expect any move from them in the short term.
  12. At this point I'm curious how new Ryzen CPUs will react to iCUE. The issue MUST be fixed, iCUE is proven to be a resource hog and a lot of users don't really want most of the features that are hogging their CPUs. Corsair been quiet for so long now about the matter it's insulting. What do they need, to be called everywhere and have their reputation exposed? It is not just this issue, it's a way too long list that increases with every new update. From what I read in social media and personal experience, there's a lot of people willing to move away from Corsair for the sole reason of iCUE being this bad.
  13. They've been doing this for ages years, literally. Updating iCUE is not recommended at all unless you have real issues with your current installed version. I can't remember when was the last time that updating iCUE solved more issues than causing new ones. Yet they care about adding DRM to their hardware, keep releasing new RGB peripherals and so on. Most of their releases lack changelogs for long periods of time. We haven't seen one for a month now. I don't know how their workflow is but having a changelog is the most basic thing you should have not only for your users but so you can keep track of whats done and not.
