  1. As I understood the only one way to fix it is to switch to another motherboard from other manufacturer. :) I also faced with that issue also when my headset was a default audio device. For example, after my PC wake up after sleep mode or when I changed volume on my headset in some games. Since my problem is gone when I changed the headset so I didn't investigate this issue much. I don't know is there any chance to install legacy realtek driver on Asus motherboards but you can go to Asus Rog Forum and try to find the solution. That all that I can suggest.
  2. So welcome guys to the world of Asus motherboards. You can find a big thread at Asus Rog Forum about this issue. Speaking briefly looks like there is a failure between Realtek codecs provided to Asus motherboards (if you go to Realtek software I think you will see Asus branded interface. I have Rog Strix z270 so I think it's the same story with your Z97). The issue is that if you don't set-up your headset as a default audio device and use it to change volume level so it may lead to random change of sound level for any particular application including system sounds. If you choose your headset as your default audio device and change level volume by using sound button on your headset so all is working fine. For example, I've just returned my Void headset and bought another one from another manufacturer. In this headset there is a volume slider which increase or decrease headset sound level on the hardware level and not software level. By the way I had Gigabyte motherboard which used legacy Realtek drivers and never had any issues with sound. With Asus motherboard I already faced with several audio issues and not sure that I will consider Asus products as same as Corsair products in the future.
  3. Do you have asus motherboard?
  4. It's obvious that Corsair spits on their customers. I bought Void Wireless last November and after 6 months of using I faced with the issue that nobody can't hear me well. Yes, mic level was bad from the start but people could even hear me with mic boost via Equalizer Apo. But in the end this program also no longer helped. I created RMA ticket and based on the issue description I was asked to make RMA. Of course this can be considered as an excellent attitude to the client's problem but I think that Corsair perfectly knows about this issue and can't do anything except RMA. One of my friends is working in quite big PC shop and he told me that recently the number of returns of Corsair broken products significantly increased. I really liked Corsair. I bought Corsair PSU (RM650) three years ago and it's still working excelent. I recently bought Corsair's case fans - ML140 and ML140 Pro and they all had ticking sound at low RPM so I had to RMA it. So I'm very disappointed with Corsair's products quality and won't consider Corsair in the next few years. When I returned my Void Wireless so I bought headset from another manufacturer and this headset is build on the same audio chip as Void Wireless but quality of sound and micro much higher. So I assume that Corsair is using good components in their products but I can't understand why the quality is so lame at the end.
  5. Hi there. I just found a fix for the issue with low mic level. I've contacted with Corsair support and made an RMA through the shop in which I bought my Corsair Void Wireless. I think it's a best solution since Corsair spit on their customers. The most funny thing that when I told customer care specialist about my issue he proposed me to RMA my headset at first go. I suspect that Corsair perfectly knows about that issue but can't do anything. The second funny thing that I just bought headset from other manufacturer which is based on the same audio chip avnera av6302 and I have no problems with sound or mic on my new headset.
