k90 keys unresponsive
both ctrl keys, both shift keys, ins, del, home and end keys are all dead after flashing. i cannot enter bios thanks to this thing. dont tell me its my bios because this also occurs in windows. this is totally unacceptable. i want a refund. like, right now. i didn't break my keyboard. corsair and faulty flash broke my keyboard. i bought this 4 months ago, recently got a 32 gig corsair mem kit, and an h80. the h80 has a bad fan. keyboard is dead. my mem next probably.

I am sorry to hear about the issue you experienced with the keyboard. If I can inquire, what version of firmware did you use to flash the keyboard?
I would also recommend filling out a RMA to the left so we can get you a replacement right away. Let me know the case number and I'll handle it personally.

I flashed with the beta, which is what killed things. I found the new 1.18 firmware and the keys are working again in windows, however I still cannot enter bios. Im not sure if corsair needs to know that, or if Asus does. Sabertooth x79 bios 1203, fwiw. Sorry if I came off as a jerk but that was a rather frustrating situation. Its hard to enter passwords when shift doesn't work. heh.
EDIT: Keyboard also not detected by Grub when dual booting to mandriva linux. My logitech wireless MX 5000 however, works flawlessly.

You don't have to apologize for the frustration. I can relate too. We are aware of the keyboard not working in some BIOS versions. Part of the reason why it doesn't is the keyboard is a 16bit device and most BIOS can only detect 8-bit devices (which are comprised of 99.9% of the peripherals out there). We're working on a resolution and once this has been resolved, we'll update it here first.

So. I didnt drop the keyboard, I didnt open it up, nothing crazy. I literally just blew the keys off with some compressed air, and the above was the result. Definitely a hardware issue. Occurs both in windows and linux. I have my newegg reciepts and all that. I want an RMA please. Id prefer a refund, but I think we are beyond that point. Press one key, and 3 others are triggered as well. How this happens with independent mech keys is.. beyond me. But here we are.
