Nintari
Just got a hold of some SP120QE fans to replace my ageing Cooler-master R4 fans. I had to run the R4 fans on a separate controller as they seemed to cause problems with the H100 controller, they burnt up my 650D fan controller too... guess they drew too much current at low settings... Anyway, I wanted to put these SP120QEs on the H100 in a push / pull and didn't know if they were safe to run off the H100 block, I would hate for it to die! Anyone done the same or can chime in with some advice? I wanted to try to get this done tonight :) (also got some Dominator platinum memory I need to install)
peanutz94
The SP series fans will are not controllable with the H100. They will run at 100% or run sporadically. Only the stock fans will run correctly with the original H100 units.
Nintari
yeah I noticed that last night lol I kept tryign to put it on low and no changes were made at all to fan speed. I tried on a seperate fan controller and the noise level of these fans seem to be too loud for my tastes, not so much wind noise but a buzzing sound, my son commented that it sounded like there was a Bees nest in my PC, so I'll go with that description :D.
