surjical
Is it normal for only one row of the G keys to light up. With the backlight set to 100% i can only see the 6 9 12 15 18 actually light up the others are VERY dim. Looks like they are only getting light do to the keys mentioned. Another problem i notice perhaps not a real problem at all is When i type something out and push down and hold backspace to delete text it will only delete 1 space then stop. I have to let go of it after the first press and hold it down again to go multiple backspaces while held down. Which is just a minor inconvienience. Just wondering if this is by design. Here's a picture i took of the lights so you can see what I'm talking about. http://i.imgur.com/0sHxs.jpg

surjical
Ya the picture is with the backlight at 100% i normally use the first setting which i think is 33%. At 33% you cant even tell they are lit.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 18, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 18, 2012 All the G keys should be lit up. If you toggle the % of light, they should all reflect the same change.
surjical
Ok. Well the picture i linked is with the backlight at 100%. At 33% and 66% the same keys are lit just dimmer. 5 out of 18 keys have light. I cant open the keyboard without voiding the warranty, so looks like the light strips are either missing or just not working. This Keyboard is actually a replacement from a k90 i RMA'd a few months ago. This is discouraging if i RMA this keyboard as well, it will be my third KB and im already on my third vengeance 1500 headset. 4 product fails, one every 2 months like clockwork... If this keeps up ill run out of warranty time and just be stuck with broken products.

surjical
First i would like to thank RAM GUY For helping me with this situation. RAM GUY went above and beyond to make sure i got a replacement and made sure i was happy with the end result. And also customer service who was prompt with setting up an order and getting it shipped out. I have to say working with Corsair customer support has been the best experience ive had with a company in a while. After having come off a recent poor experience with that other not to be named peripheral company, this is a breath of fresh air.
surjical
Got my replacement k90 today. Surprised actually i didnt expect it to be here so fast. First thing i noticed out of the box is that the keys have a much better coating on them. They are smoother than my previous 2 keyboards. And finally all my light are working. Overall it looks like this KB is what my original should have been like. Im glad to see that thing have actually been improved. http://i.imgur.com/WTlXL.jpg My new replacement gkeys http://i.imgur.com/0sHxs.jpg My old gkeys
