Mr. Ree
I currently have three 480GB Neutron GTX drives in my Maingear (plus some other non-Corsair drives) running Win 7. My boot © drive is running out of space despite off-loading many programs and folders to another drive. I plan to do a complete format and reinstall of my C drive, but I thinking perhaps I should also replace the 480GB XT with a 960 XTi. Am I going to have any compatibility problems? Second question, are/were the GTX drives better than the newer XTi drives? Thanks in advance for any opinions.
Toasted
I do not know of any possible issues relating to compatibility you will face when you upgrade the drive. The Neutron GTX was replaced by the Neutron XT which was then replaced by the Neutron XTi.

Mr. Ree
Related question. Amazon offers a data transfer and validation (software?) for $82. Is that really worth $82?
Toasted
No idea what kind of service/software that is.
