Need HELP in getting the full out of my RAM.

I had a similar problem as a guy here

And after following the recommendation of underclocking my RAM to 667MHz, I finally can use my 8GB ram on all 4 banks.

However, I would want to know what can I do to get the optimum performance of both my motherboard and ram?
I wanted to use the ram with 4-4-4-12 timing but did not know how to achieve that. Can anyone lend me a hand and help this poor noob?

Appreciate if you could tell me what should I set on my motherboard etc etc.

Download memtest from Here and extract the ISO image. Burn the ISO image to an CD-ROM disk.

Enter your BIOS and load setup defaults, save setup defaults and set to these values:

Advanced

JumperFree Configuration

CPU Configurationl

+1.2VNBSB = Auto
DDR2 Voltage Control = 2.1v
CPU Voltage Control = Auto
CPU Multiplier = Auto
CPU Frequency = 200 
AMD Cool 'n' Quiet = Enabled

Chipset

DRAM Configuration

Timing Mode = Manual
Memory Clock Frequency = DDR2 667
2T Mode = Enabled
CAS Latency (CL) = 4
TRCD: 4
TRP: 4
TRAS: 12

Legacy USB = Disabled (For Memtest, enabled afterwards)

LDT Bus Frequency = Auto

Shut the system down. Restart and boot to the Memtest CD. Allow for two full passes.

Results?

The one I bold in red are not found on my BIOS configuration.
Also, when running memtest, how can I possibly know that 1 or 2 loop has passed in full?
Is there anyway to generate the results? Or actually how to look at the result?
Do I need to turn on ECC or let it be off?
And last but not least, anymore configuration that I need to do before running memtest?

Oh, in the bios there is an LDT & PCI Bus Control which goes from auto, 200-1ghz. Im curious as to what they mean by LDT & PCI bus control. I know what LDT is (HT speed) but why the "& pci bus" part?
If i lower the LDT speed in order to overclock will that in turn lower the pci bus, making it a safer OC?

I would not overclock that board. It is clearly not built for overclocking and you will very likely just end up with issues should you attempt to use it as an overclocking motherboard. The Memtest will show you a full pass.



Leave ECC off as your system and DRAM are not ECC.

I just checked with the manual. You have no ability to change timings with that board either.

So, I end up running these rams underclocked?
I should have read the reviews before jumping on this mobo. :(

You can try a light overclock of no more than 20 X 4 = 80Mhz. Set the FSB to 215 first. The problem is that your board does not have PCI/PCI-e locks and they also raise concurrently when you raise the FSB and the PCI bus is very touchy with overclocks.

Please post CPU-z CPU, Memory and SPD tabs once you have done this overclock.
