HeatSpreader Question (didn't know where to post this)

Hello,

My 1st post here, so forgive me if this is in the wrong forum, but I was hoping to get some feedback from someone at Corsair if they would be willing to assist in addressing this.

I recently bought parts and did a NEW system rig build, that included 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM #CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R in RED, that I bought last week from NEWEGG. Also included an ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z MOB, and Noctua NH-U9B SE2 CPU cooler for the new Core i7 2600K.

Anyways, got the system running fine, however I ran into a clearance issue with the tall Vengeance RAM and the Noctua CPU cooler as shown in these pic's ...

... and I had to remove the heatspeader from the RAM of SLot #1 to have it fit.

MY QUESTION, or request if you will, is ... can Corsair possibly exchange the standard TALL Vengeance heat spreader for me with one of their new LP 'low profile' Vengeance heat spreaders ? I've seen them in RED as well, just not for sale yet.

Or at a minimum could I "purchase" this heat speader ONLY, already have the RAM ... and just stick it on over my existing RAM DIMM ?

Appreciate any feedback someone at Corsair might be willing to provide, thank you for your time. :)

You'll need to contact Customer Service from our homepage, http://www.corsair.com , on the CONTACT page.

Tech support cannot arrange this nor do I know if this is even possible. CS will assist you.

Can support fix the web page that brings up the Customer Service page ? :o: because I can't seem to get it to open properly using MS IE9 to send off an email to them, it's like the window doesn't fully open up or something ? (see pic) Or is there a phone # to call ? Didn't see one.

Note that removing the heat spreader voided the warranty. Not sure if it's only the one stick or the whole kit though.

Yeah, that double stick tape attached spreader will be SO difficult to get back on. ;): ... I know the spreader's not "NEEDED" but I do think they protect the dimm stick somewhat, and to keep the asthetics of the build it would be nice to "BUY" the LP Vengeance heat spreader, or even an extra matching DIMM if I had to, the cost isn't that much to make an issue out of it.
