Default Intel X58SO BIOS Settings for TR3X3G1600C8D and TR3X6G1600C8D

CORSAIR Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D/TR3X3G1600C8D
Spec 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 1.65v
XMP Spec QPI voltage= 1.35V

Intel X58SO BIOS 3435 FEB 11, 2009

Intel Core i7 965EE CPU and XMP Settings:

Manually Set Timings and Voltage:
I have found Command Rate to be stable at 1T (aka 1N on some boards). QPI / Uncore Voltage Override has been stable at 1.15v on this particular CPU. You may need to go as high as 1.35v and this will depend on each individual CPU.

Won't 1.66v for the memory voltage fry the CPU? That's what Intel states.

No, it's safe. The only reason it hits 1.66v is that the BIOS changes the voltage in even increments, 1.64v, 1.66v, etc.

Would these settings also work for XMS TR3X6G1600C7 ? I'm also having the reboot issue with this board (lights and fans spin up but not boot, pull power for 10 seconds and it boots fine) and I'm trying to troubleshoot.
Thanks in advance.

Not by setting them manually no, the settings are not the same. Try clearing the BIOS, boot to BIOS, and select the XMP profile.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm overclocking to 150Mhz, so with the memory multiplier at 12 (XMP profile) that cranks it (to 1800).

What I'm running now is the XMP profile but the multiplier knocked down from 12 to 10 (1500Mhz). So the memory should be 'underclocked'. And I'm having the odd behavior at boot.

Also, what about the command rate and QPI voltage? Leave them at XMP settings?

You may want to try clearing the CMOS, disabling the XMP, and manually setting the memory timings and voltage. Use the XMP timings and voltages for memory and QPI.

All you have to do is enable XMP as shown.
