TR3X6G1600C8D tested on Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme?
Hello,
I am planning for my next Core I7 build for Christmas.
For motherboard, I have chosen the Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme (as I like the option to go air with the big heatsink or WC with the northbridge waterblock). For memory, I am thinking about the TR3X6G1600C8D. Is this a tested setup by Corsair? If so, any known issue? Thanks very much.

Yes and now, they will run great on that MB I am sure of it. We have not tested the MB yet that I know if but Gigabyte usually makes a great Intel chipset MB so I doubt there will be any problems.

OEM or Retail package
Thanks for your confirmation.
I just receive the TR3X6G1600C8D kit from ZipZoomFly today. It comes in a Corsair white box with a sealed label. Upon opening the package, I find 3 individually packed memory in a plastic box with no insert (i.e. just a transparent plastic package like other Corsair memory product). The following are on each memory piece:
TR3X6G1600C8D
6GB(3x2GB) 2048MB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 1.65V ver2.1 08460810
My question is that is it supposed to come in white box? Not that I need the insert, but it's kind of like an OEM package rather than retail package. None of the Corsair product I purchase so far is in nice package (at least an insert in the plastic package). Can someone confirm it supposes to come in such packaging? Thanks for your help.

Yes, you should go for one. They are only US$30 more than other PC1600 6GB memory set. I am sure you will feel the difference!!!

There's multiple products mentioned in his post, so you'll have to be more specific. He did mention ZipZoomFly, so I'd start there.

So was the TR3X6G1600C8D kit tested on the Asus P6T? That's my combo, memory arrives from ZipZoomFly tomorrow.

LOL yeah, I Googled "TR3X6G1600C8D and P6T" and I was very happy with the results. Nice video at HardOCP.
