Default DDR2 IC Inquiry

Due to the way the part#'s are stored it is no longer required to provide us with the part# and lote code information, just look up your moldules revision number and find it on the list bellow!
If for some reason you dont see your modules listed please post your complete part# and version#.
To accurately find out which ICs are in which memory, the following is needed:
Part # Version #
How To Read the Memory Label
Also please search thru the list bellow before you post it should already be listed.

F.A.Q.

Q?:Anyway it is possible to post Micron part numbers i.e. D9DCT, D9GMH, D9GKX, etc. on the high-end stuff? Dominator and XMS2 6400C3's specifically?

A:These are just sort codes all D9 IC's are the same and since we do our own sorts they are not valid. All of IC's are pre-tested by us before we mount them in many cases Micron will just send us the IC's un-sorted even thou they are marked.
That’s how we ask for them because our sorting process is more thorough then what Micron does, or any IC maker for that fact!

Q?:
Could you please, if possible, include the maximum voltages they can handle? Thanks.

A:
Please look up the specific module part# in Dominator Qualifications and Testing! or XMS Qualification and Testing!

I have TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX, ver.4.1.
Ok, IC must be PSC.
But on the sticker I can read – CM2X2048-6400C5DHX, and therefore IC must be (not DHX) – MICRON.
I’m in doubt…

Default CM2X2048-6400C5 G v6.1

seems there's a new version, 1.8V ver6.1 - What are the IC's plz ?

lot number indicates a 2011 mfg date and some from late 2010. Also are there differences in the late 2010 mfg (1042) and a 2011 (1106) ? reason I ask is the early one says assy in Taiwan whereas the late one says made in Taiwan

There is no way to know that. We used all 3 types and our screening process did not differentiate between the 3. The only way to know that information would be to pull the heat spreader off the memory you have which would most likely destroy the module and would definitely void the warranty.

I tried, even with an hammer... no way to remove the heatspreader...
Anyway I don't even think it's Micron D9s

I am writing an article about High End DDR2 Memory and it would be nice if I know the IC, you said ''should be Micron'' but according that they are 2GB stick non ECC and the results of the tests/OC, I am quite sure they aren't Micron

EDIT: They are PSC ;)

There weren't any 2GB modules made with the "good" Micron D9s. Those ICs were not big enough to make 2GB modules. PSCs rocked in the 2GB module class and were faster than anything Micron made in that size IC.
