Question power consumption of 512MB sodimms

I found the data sheet for the 512MB Corsair ValueSelect SODIMM DDR PC2700 2.5v that I'm considering as an upgrade for my IBM Thinkpad T42.

http://www.moselvitelic.com/sec4/V826664G24S.pdf

I want to know how much power it consumes in watts, but I'm having trouble reading the data sheet. It lists amperage of IDD0 through IDD7, but if that's all added up and multiplied by 2.5V, it goes over 30W, which doesn't seem right. Anyone know how to calculate the wattage?

All DDR unbuffered DDR modules would be 3 amps or about 12 watts Max.

So you're saying that to maximize power efficiency, it's best to NOT install any optional DIMMs, but to replace the standard DIMM with a higher capacity one. Then I will probably replace the standard 256MB DIMM with a 1GB DIMM, instead of just adding a 512MB DIMM to the existing memory. Thanks.
