Hello everyone, I was wondering if the VOID wireless runs fine on Linux without any drivers. If it doesn't, are there any unofficial drivers like the one for the RGB keyboards I could try out? Thank you.

AFAIK it will work, but you won't have access to DOLBY or the RGB features.

I figured I wouldn't have those features since they're driver level stuff, but as long as the headset works fine wirelessly, I'll be happy with it. Thank you.

Yes, it does work, but it will break your mouse and possibly your window manager. Easy solution:
create a file in /etc/modprobe.d/ Call it usbhid.conf and add "options usbhid quirks=0x1b1c:0x1b27:0x0004".... where 0x1b1c is the Vendor ID and 0x1b27 is the Product ID. U can type lsusb in a terminal to double check. Then you need to rebuild mkinitcpio.conf using "mkinitcpio -p linux" as root. After that everything should work fine... maybe not the volume control, but that isn't hardware level anyways and only controls the system master volume and not just the headset. U can simply use a keyboard for that. Anyone know how to shutoff the battery draining lighting effects in linux????? I'm using arch. |
