Default Help choosing AF120 fans for 650D side panel - Quiet or Performance?

Hi all

I'm looking at buying a set of fans for my future case but I can't decide between the Performance or Quiet edition of the AF120.

I intend to buy the 650D, with AF120s attached to the optional mesh side panel to help cool my graphics card as it gets quite warm and loud in my 700D.

So for one... I'm not sure if four performance fans would be overkill for a single card, and two, I'm not sure if the quiet fans would provide enough air flow. I have also considered a 200mm fan, but I'm open to suggestions as this is my first time purchasing additional fans .

This all depends on how many GPUs you are planning to use. Single card, either you go with a single 200mm fan which we all know will move a lot of air plus quieter compared to 120mm fan or you can go with 4 AF120 quiet edition, you'd still get a good air flow and very minimal noise. If you go two card and lets say both are OC'ed, then that is the only time I would consider 4 AF120 Performance edition.

Thank you, that's great to know . Looks like I'll be choosing a quiet set of fans.

I agree with your suggested application. I have a 600T with mesh side panel and just went to a Crossfire setup. I installed 4 of the AF120 Performance fans on the side panel. If you divide the amps up you can use the 4 amp fan controller built in to the 600T . Keeping it under 1 amp per header. It works great. During gaming I turn up the controller, during web browsing I turn it down and it's very quiet.
