Default Venegance 2000: no answer to ticket since 2 days...

Hi there,

I opened a ticket about two days ago concerning a knocking volume control on my brandnew Venegance 2000 (bought on 4th of july). Since a small rec cardboard in the package aked me to not return the product to the retailer but instead using Corsairs internet plattform to open up a ticket which is maybe resulting in an RMA (which causes lot's of trouble for me since I have to package the product safely, find a post office, mail back the headset, beeing in lack of a headset meanwhile e.g.).

Although I was promised that I could await a reply within 24 hours the latest, there is still no reply. That's what I call successful cutomer care and relationship.

Seems like I'm gonna call the retailer and return my Venegance 2000 there since it causes system boot delay by approximately 2 minutes with the dongle plugged in.

Although the sound and the functionality of the headset itself is outstanding under windows and I therefore would like to keep it, the two issues above are inacceptable.

Sorry guys, it does not work that way. I paid the product cash at the shop's counter and you keep me hanging...

Disapointing.

Chris

You can always return it to the store. They'd just prefer people talk to tech support first in case it's just a tech question (e.g. how do I mount this, how do I set up XMP in the BIOS, etc).

Regarding the boot time, disable it from looking at USB on boot.

What do you mean by a "knocking volume control"?

Hi,

concerning boot times there is already a thread where I been posting my experience. I already disabled USB legacy support and USB as a boot device. The dongle even slows down the bios graphics/performance leeading to long (20 seconds) reaction times on any keyboard command.

View this thread for all the details:
http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=108353

When I talk of a kocking sound I mean actually "rattling" caused by the volume control that is mounted to the headset with to much clearance so that it moves anytime I move my head.

The boot time issue seems to be an engineering problem since it happens to a couple of people, maybe caused by a certain hardware configuration which has not been tested during development (see my profile for details), but since I do not use any "exotic" brands in my system nor other drivers such as raid or eSATA drivers are loaded this is not acceptable.

The rattling issue is not that a big deal, which could be solved by replacing the headset. Sometimes quality control guidlines are not yet aware of a possible problem like that so products may pass this controls.

What I've been missing I a reaction on my ticket e.g. "Your ticket was posted, we will be contacting you in about xy days..." but since the landing page of tech. support stated a reply within 24 hours I expected exactly that.

Please have in mind while reading my posts that I'm from germany and that I#m not a native speaker...

Nevertheless thanx for minding my concerns.

What USB port were you plugging it into btw. Was it a standard 2.0 or high speed 3.0?
