Problem CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B
Hello.
I bought a 16 Gb Kit of Corsair Vengeance 4 months ago. I think they were faulty, because mi pc didn't boot sometimes (but at that time i thought it was the MB).
2 weeks ago I started to experience BSOD and Crashes (while doing a backup of my files)... so I did a new windows installation on my new SSD (that fortunately arrived a day before).
The problem persisted, so I made a complete test to my PC in stock (w/o CPU OC).
Memtest showed lots of errors. I took all the modules and try them on another MB (on a gigabyte p67, latest bios, on an open air chassis that I use for reviews)... the same, finally i found just one module with errors.
I went to the reseller to claim the warranty, they received the modules in its original package to check the modules in their "lab", my fault: i forgot to check the modules and write down that all was OK on the document. 2 days later, I went and they told me that one module had physical damage. I insisted and they let me in their lab to check the modules. The one with "physical damage" works perfect, and it's obvious that it's different from the one with logical errors. They denied to give me the technical report.
Now I don't know what to do. They denied to replace the module, it's strange, because all work ok and i'm completely sure that the modules were ok before they checked them on their lab (least the one with logical errors).
I think the damaged was caused in their lab. if it's not, maybe on the manufacture of the product.
I hope you can help me with this problem.
I'll post pics If requested.
I'm from Peru.
I'll be waiting for your reply.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Please post a picture of both side of the modules so we can see the damage they are claiming.

as i said, it works flawlessly.
It is rare that has been damaged in that place, everything else seems in perfect condition.

ok, i'm back at home, I have requested an RMA, but then i notice that the last option says;
"Ramguy has already helped me on the Support Forums, Enter your post # from the Official Corsair Support Forums"... is it necessary to do the rma by that method?

i mean Cut and Paste the link into the RMA form on the line "Ramguy has already helped me on the Support Forums, Enter your post # from the Official Corsair Support Forums"
that is what you asked i believe.
you already got a case# so dont worry about it now :)

The package was returned today, it seems that the peruvian postal service have some troubles with the international shipping.
the case number is still valid? or do i have to check the kit again in RMA?

The RMA# is valid for 90 days so its no problem at all but you can post the tracking number and I will be happy to ask our customer service to put a rush on your RMA for you.

Thanks Ram Guy.
Well, finally the Peruvian Postal Service made the refund of my money, So I'll be sending the package on monday.
However, I wonder if the package is OK. Some pics:
I have a lot of polyethylene foam at home (from hardware that send me to do reviews), so I made a box.
Then, there is the printing of the first email and a "letter" with my contact details, as requested.
Do I have to put the Memorykit package in an anti static bag?
Is the labeling ok?
I'll be waiting for your answer.
