gst94
My H100 pump fan speed always stays at around 2000 RPM, no matter the cpu temperature (idle 35C, prime bench 70+ C). Also the pump light always stays at the same level once it is being set by push button, regardless of cpu temperature. I used the Asrock utility in Windows to check the H100 pump fan speed through MB chasis fan pin. Is this normal?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 24, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 24, 2011 Yes the Pump should always stay at MAX RPM!
gst94
But isn't the pump fan speed has three levels: Fan Speed (+/- 10%): up to 1300 RPM (Low Noise), 2000 RPM (Balanced), and 2500 RPM (High Performance). Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 25, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 25, 2011 No the pump always runs at 100% the FANS are what will change with the level you set.
mistermister
Right. Given how silent the H100's pump is when operating at 100%, having a variable speed option would be pointless. Plus it would probably add to the cost of the unit.
