archieny
Hi, I have a quick question regarding the RM 750x PSU and my new gpu. My 2070 GPU requires a 14 pin connector, an 8+6 pin connector. The cable that came with my RM 750x has one end that plugs into the psu and splits into 2 8 pin connectors (one at the end and one a little before the end). I would like to confirm if I can plug both into the GPU and provide the full power needed without causing potential damage to either the PSU or the GPU. I had asked some of my friends IRL but they weren't sure because none of them had a PSU that had a pcie cable that split into two 8 pin connectors. Thanks for any advice! jrcobb1994
You are fine using the single cable with the 6+2 6+2 PCI power just fold back one of the +2 connections that is easiest to hide to make your build look tidy
archieny
Alright, thanks for your advice! I just wasn't sure if the single cable could provide the necessary power to the GPU.
Vegan
most pci express cables in my experience have 3x yellow wires so there is lots of power available as needed
