Is there anyway to set the speaker configuration to stereo instead?

I installed drivers to get 7.1 support, but I have a game (Tales of Zestiria) that does not support 7.1 and crashes on open if I'm using this headset.

 

I would hate to have to uninstall driver each time I want to play this game and reinstall it for other games, so is there anyway that I'm missing that I can use to create a stereo configuration or perhaps 5.1 surround instead? It is just 7.1 that is not supported.

 

I don't believe I'm missing anything but if I am please let me know. If not, then I'd appreciate seeing switching between stereo/7.1 added as a feature in future packages of the corsair driver/software.

originally windows detected these as stereo.. seeing 2 channel in properties told me this, but since 1.11.85 it has fixed the issue with windows not detecting as 7.1, but now its locked to 7.1, would be good to be able to switch stereo if needed..
