Default VS 650 fan making loud noises

My power supply is making random loud noises. It happens even on idle mode. This build has been just a few weeks old. The sound happens every few minutes then stops, then comes back again. I don't see any pattern. But maybe, you could compare it to a cow's sound just with a bit of vibration.

Is the sound something that could be a rubbing noise from the fan?

I'm pretty sure it comes from the fan because it seems to be very loud from underneath (my psu's fan is facing the bottom of my case). I'm not sure what to do or if I should even attempt to fix it up.

Well, if it's under warranty, I wouldn't "fix it up" in fear of voiding your warranty.

But what I would do is see if it's something as simple as the fan rubbing against the fan grill. Take the PSU out and give the fan a spin. If it hits the grill, simply pry out the grill from the fan.

Sleeve bearing fans can have quite a bit of play. And the housing on the VS series is only .7mm thick (typical is .8mm) and has no fan grill, so if the PSU was dropped a few times during shipping (totally typical for FedEx, UPS, etc.), the grill can push into the fan causing the two to rub against each other.
