NosGH
Hello all! New to the forum and to the Corsair brand so I might have some more questions over time ;) I am about to order this beautiful case and was wondering if an EATX motherboard would fit in there? Also what is the best motherboard brand to go with the iCUE software? Thanks
DevBiker
From what I've seen elsewhere, the cable grommets on the 500D are perfect for a standard size ATX motherboard. EATX might be a challenge as it'll cover at least some of the grommet. From the manual:
Dajinn
E-ATX is 12 x 13, it won't fit. manufactuers that make slightly bigger boards like the rampage v edition 10, aren't true E-ATX but are labeled that way. anyway, semantics really. to op: the slightly larger enthusiast boards that are 12 inch x 10.7 inch in dimensions do fit however as gentleman above said, they cover the grommets slightly, and depending on 24 pin position it can be annoying to get good looking cable management. honestly, i've had a 12 x 10 inch board before in the 500D actually, specifically the rampage v edition 10, and I was not a huge fan of the size in the case, it takes up too much room next to the grommets and getting a nicer looking build is easier and not as cramped with standard ATX. as such i sold it and got an x99 deluxe-ii.
