Default IBM Intellistation PSU P2 connector mismatch

Hi,
I have just purchased the VX550W to replace the OEM PSU in my IBM Intellistation M Pro Model 6230-38U. The P2 connector on the PS does not match the receiver on the motherboard.

My motherboard connector is looking for this type of connector:

Help? Thanks.

It splits into two pieces. One of them will fit.

Thanks. However, the pin design is different .. not a barrel type but a narrow slot across the connector.

See Figure 21.14. ATX auxiliary power connector.

Regards,
Harry

Can't say I've ever seen that type of connection on a retail PSU. I'd talk to IBM to see what PSU they recommend.

It was used on server/workstation motherboards until ATX2.0 came out.

If it's a pre ATX v2.0 spec cable, then you're unfortunately out of luck as the PSU is ATX 2.01+ compatibile. I'd return it, or see if there's a converter cable you can get maybe?
