Post Corsair HX1000W Power Supply Review

Hey all,
I recently purchased a HX1000W PSU for my latest rig. I was extremely satisfied with this PSU in it's design and it's feel (thing is darn heavy). Some would see it as overkill, but PSU's are a place I have no issues with spending extra on as I see it as insurance. Especially as I maxed out the 750w I had in the last machine. The computer would shutdown when the HDD's spun up, worked fine with a couple removed.

At any rate, I stumbled across a fairly thorough review on the HX1000W at hardwaresecrets.com. They have some very nice things to say about the PSU.

I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to put this thread. It's Corsair related, PSU, related, and the review section of the forums has been removed, so, this is seemed to be fitting. Please move it if there is a better place.

No one's submitted one to this thread as of yet, but if you google it, you'll find a few.

Thanks but there seems to be only a single picture.

Can someone confirm where the fan is, ie on the bottom or rear?

Thank you
