Firmware on Windows 10 (Screenshots included)

Hi,

I recently purchased a Corsair Vengeance K70 with Brown Switch (Non-rgb, just red backlight) and it's been working great so far but I'm having a hard time updating the firmware. I'm not even sure if it's a necessity to update it but I just feel a bit out of date if I don't update something I just got as new.

I've been trying to use the Firmware Update Program v_1.09® and it always fails and states that it cannot detect the keyboard. Here are the screens in chronological order of what happens.

Screenshot of the program working after I click "Update Firmware":

What can I do to successfully update the firmware? I've tried every single usb port on my pc to no avail. I've also googled and came up with people saying that it must be a usb 2.0 and I am pretty sure the usb on my pc is 2.0. Also, I have windows 10 so that might been a problem although I'm not too sure. Thanks in advance!

That firmware update is quite old, if you purchased the keyboard recently it is highly possible that you already have it on your keyboard.

That said updating the firmware from windows 10 has some issues, try updating it again from another computer running either windows 7 or 8/8.1.
