Strafe RGB MX Blues verus K70 Lux MX Blues - stiffer?

Hi

I finally decided on MX blues since I mainly type and bought two keyboards - a K70 Lux (red backlight) for work and a RGB Strafe for home.

The keys on the Strafe RGB are quite different to the K70's. They are a little stiff and pretty difficult to type on.

This seem odd since I thought the main advantage of Cherry switches was the consistency.

Has anyone had any experience of this?

Do they "wear in"?

Thanks.

This is pretty common on the RGB switch, they're more prone to issues verses the non RGB switch, for some users it does get better over time, others reported it stayed the same so I'm not really sure. You should give it at least a week though to see if they loosen up, here's other topics about it:

Thanks. I think it's the key cap rather than the switch. If I take off the key cap, the switch feels super smooth.

This is a new keyboard and it's not inconsistency as described in those posts from a few months back. All keys feel the same - just a bit gritty. Not very pleasant to type on.

Compared to a clicky Razer keyboard I also tried it's night and day. Even the K70 Lux MX Blue (non-RGB) feels stiff compared to that.

I wonder if it's since they've changed the key caps with the new fonts on the LUX and Strafe keyboards?

It also makes me think when Corsair say you need to break in switch - they don't mean that - they mean you the switch and key cap need time to become one :)!
