Jordan.P
For the last day or two my ram has been sitting at about 2.8 to 3.5gb of usage and that's with just my google chrome open watching a youtube video for example, then with a game running it either bumps up really high or my pc will randomly just restart without any warning or it will simply blue screen. I have googled possible outcomes to this but found no clear answer to my problem.
Synthohol
sounds more towards a video driver than a ram issue. check the event logs for better details. look for anything red or yellow (icon) next to an event when the PC last rebooted itself. Jordan.P
Well I looked at my logs last night and it says lots of warnings and errors but I don't understand it but i'll double check but could the ram be messing up if it's at 3.5 when simply just having chrome open? Synthohol
3.5 out of 8G is not any indicator of a ram issue, thats just active usage. task manager will show what is occupying the cells. you can always make sure you have the latest BIOS and run memtest86 if you want to eliminate the ram as a culprit? Jordan.P
I understand that's probably not an indicator but it's the fact that it's using 3.5 gb out of the 8 gb when the only thing on my screen is my google chrome with youtube when it wasn't using that much before yesterday. Synthohol
look at task manager, see whats being occupied.
ram1220
I would be checking the system for spyware or a virus.
