Default Corsair 800D Build - Questions!

Hey everyone,

Lately, i've decided to buy myself a new PC. Going for the 800D was for me the best choice as it is just so lickable

The following parts interest me :

Intel 1156 Quad Core I5 750 2.66 Ghz
HD Radeon 5870
Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H50-1
Asus P7P55D-E (Retail, FW, RAID, Gb-LAN, Sound, ATX)
Corsair CMPSU-750HX

Going with a blue/black inside the case look.

Now, mainly i will use this rig for gaming. As for that, I now got a few questions for you guys, since i'm not that experienced with PC's.

What RAM do you guys recommend me ? I'd preferably get Corsair ones. Thing is there are so many choices etc... I also saw that the I5 750 can only take up to 1333 Mhz tops, wich concerns me, can't i put any 1600 Mhz in it then ?

Also, how can i make the GFXcard more fitting into the case full with blue and black stuff, as its got a red/black design..

Overall what do you think about the components so far?

What HDD/SSD drive setup do u recommend me ? (Go in detail ) My budget isn't too big for this tho, but as it is for gaming..

If i buy blue LED strips, how do i make sure i can enable them whenever i want ? So they're not on at all times..

Also, Yellowbeard, if you are anywhere on my thread, can u please let me know what you're setup was. Kinda liked it, also with an blue asus motherboard and stuff

Greets,

Steven

FYI I've cleaned up your profile. There's no reason to fill out fields if you don't have it.

Guaranteed-Compatible Memory for your Asus P7P55D-E1600 MHz memory will work fine.

Thanks.. Assuming i'm going with the CMX4GX3M2A1600C8 DDR3-1600 (XMS3-12800C8*XMP) 4GB Kit (2 x 2GB) 1.65v 8-8-8-24-2T

Is the voltage not too high if i wanted to Overclock my CPU ?

And also, does the P7P55D-e work well with 8gb? Because i've read somewhere that it might cause some issues on this board. Just asking to make sure.

Thanks,
Steven

i think that board can handle up to 16gb of DDR3, like mine. I updated the BIOS on mine since there are a lot of updates with "improve stability" and "improve memory compatibility", so you should update yours also, it's a piece of cake to update a BIOS now, with the built-in EZ Flash 2.

Guys, what's the recommendable OS Drive's ms/cachememory ?
Does the total size of it matters too ?

What's a healthy combination of all these aspects for a OS drive + games + applications
