DeWitt
Hello to all: I'm new to the forum and thanks to all who contribute. I am using the Corsair CMX512-3200C2 RAM on my ASUS P4P-800E Deluxe MoBo. Is there anything detrimental in adding another Gig of memory using the Corsair VS1GBKIT400 RAM? Are there any compatability issues? Thanks.
CandyKid
Running 3 double-sided DIMM's on that system may cause you to lose performance and possibly some stability. The best option here is to sell or find another use for the CMX512-3200C2 module and run only the VS1GBKIT400 in dual-channel, by itself. This is because the two different memories have slightly different specifications and the memory controller may have difficulty running the 'lowest common denominator'. You can TRY to use this setup, but I would highly reccommend just using the VS1GBKIT400 modules and not the CMX512 module. PLUR CK
