TheTiesThatBind
Hello there I'm thinking of changing my current PSU. I would like to know which of the above two mentioned PSUs shall I prefer. I'm only gaming on my rig, I don't care for the "i" versions as well since Lighting Node and H115i got them occupied. Hopefully you can help me out. PS. There's a significant price difference between HX750 (Grey labeled) and AX760. I'm going to use the PSU on the listed system on my System Specs. Which is newer and quieter by the way? Thanks in advance PS2. I also use an APC UPS 1400VA
Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted January 30, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 30, 2019 Either one of those PSU's will fit the bill. The AX is our more premium line but the HX is a great PSU also.

Oh I got one more question for you. I'm running 8700K @ 4.7GHz and EVGA GTX 1080 FTW2, is 750W an overkill? Shall I look for 650Wattage PSU instead? I don't plan to SLI in the near future. Vegan
I use an AX860i with a 120W video card, its overkill but at least my PSU is quiet

Ektelion
I decided to go for the RM750x after all I use RM850X aswell with RTX 2080 Ti and I7 8700k. Hx Ax Rmx i doubt you will even notice a difference in power consumption unless your computer is running 24 hours 7 days a week all year.
