Corsair 115i Platinum USB cable problem with RAM

Hi all, I am building a Threadripper system with an MSi Meg Creation X399 MB with 128GB RAM (for rendering). I was doing my build when I noticed that after installing the USB 2.0 connector to the pump that it blocked one of the RAM slots!!!! Obviously I need to use ALL my RAM slots as I am placing 128 GB RAM.

I have no idea why this was not considered by the designers as it does say that the 115i Platinum TR4 compatible!

Below is an image of the problem. Any suggestions? This is so frustrating...

Sorry, I don't have a Threadripper, but I ran into the same issue, I had to turn the unit 90 degrees, not sure if you can with that mounting plate, as a suggestion, the next build you do, put the chip into the socket and put the protective cover over it while you put the ram in and then insert the board into the chassis. You would have found out before you screwed it down that the ram wouldn't clear, now you'll have to remove, clean both surfaces and reapply thermal paste afterwards.

I have a Threadripper with an X399 ASRock Taichi. With all 8 DIMM slots occupied I was unable to use the supplied USB cable to the cooler even if the cooler was flipped around. The only solution was to purchase a cheap USB compatible cable that had a tighter/smaller bend: I bought cables similar to these two and this worked for me: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-Motherboard-4-Pin-Header-USBMBADAPT/dp/B000IV6S9S

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ENZDQFE/ref=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_3p_dp_1

Now I had to remove the DIMM module closest to the USB connector. Connect this new cable and then put the DIMM module back in.

I have already given feedback to Corsair about this issue so I believe they are aware of it.

I got this cable instead:

https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00JSXUJ7Y/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3AMUAP5I0HNIQ&psc=1

Worked really well as I used it as an extension and plugged in the micro usb cable that came with the AIO into it. Very clean as the connection was at the back of the case and it also extended the cable which was nice as my USB 2.0 plug in the motherboard was at the bottom.

Corsair should really include this cable in all their H115i platinum as the current design doe NOT work with X399 mobos with full 8 sticks of RAM installed.
