Faelix
I have assembled a pc for a friend, and thought we were good to go. But it won't boot up. I'm using a Corsair 200R case, Corsair 650CS PSU, and Corsair vengeange RAM. When we turn on power, we get LED lights in the GPU. But that's it, no reaction whatsoever from power switch. We suspect the case is defect, but would anybody know if it could be something else?
HOODedAssault
Could you give specs of the entire build.
Faelix
Yeah. Gigabyte 970 UD3P board AMD FX8350 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM Coolermaster 212 EVO heatsink Samsung evo 250 GB SSD Western Digital Blue 1 tb HDD Asus 280x GPU Corsair CS650 Watt PSU Corsair 200R case. We reseated the power to the MB several times and a pretty convinced the cabling is all okay. As said we only get green Leds on the GPU when we turn on the power supply. We can't get any further as there is no reaction from the power and reset switches.
HOODedAssault
If the motherboard does not have a power button. Very carefully take the leads off of the power button cables on the board and touch the 2 leads with a screwdriver. This will make it boot. A quick touch is all it needs and make sure you are using the proper pins. That pretty much determines that the power switch is bad.
