My motherboard is Asus P7P55D Pro. I watched a lot of youtube videos on how to install the corsair H50 and it looked very easy because of the old mounting system with those 4 white screws. So I thought it would be easy to install so thats' why I went and bought one. But it turned out that this is a newer version with the black screws and black plastic screw holder that you have to put in the ring.

install was dead easy for me, already reinstalled it once by replacing the HUGE amount of thermal paste with AS5.
just screw each screw by 1 turn, put the pump unit in and twist, then screw all 4 of them tight. Asus P7P55D Deluxe here.

By the way im not the only one with this problem. did you look at the guy's post above?

how did you make the ring stay by 1 turn? The ring barely touch the backplate with screwing by 1 turn. In antther word the ring wont' stay on the backplate if you dont turn the screws more than 1 turn.

Have you looked at the install guide and specifically, the 2 pictures of the back plate showing correct and incorrect? The screws won't reach as well if you have the back plate on incorrectly.

I'm not trying to be insulting, I'm trying to help. Remember, I have no idea what your skill or experience level is and I cannot see your system.
The other user you referenced never posted back to my inquiries. So, I have no idea if he discovered the source of his difficulty. And, I have installed the new back plate onto the ASUS P55 board and so has another user here. If you are unhappy with your bracket, see if customer service will send you another.
Also, based on the pictures in the guide, are your screws the same length as what I used for the guide?

Is it possible to pay with my parents' credit card? They have one. Here in Holland most people don't have a credit card or use one frequently :)

1156 bracket finally here
I just wanted to give you all an update: I placed the order on 11/04 and got the shipment today (Fremont, CA) - 11/06.
There is one thing I got to say about this bracket, it is cheap! Nothing like the 775 and 1366 bracket that came with the non -1 kit.
Overall, I am glad I could finally put my rig together, finally.
I hope those who are still waiting for their bracket will get it soon.

Hopefully...
Well, I replied to RAMGUY's message and am still waiting for mine. I've called customer support 3 times and was finally told that it was in the mail. Hopefully I'll have it before the end of the year. I wish I would have gotten one locally. It would have been much faster.
When I was reading on this thread about people that were upset because they didn't get their bracket in a few days I thought they were a little uptight. It's been over a month now and I'm uptight!
