Sad Sparks flying!!!

Ok, I made a BIG mistake. I was working on my system yesterday. The PC was off but it was still plugged in. When removing a screw from my video card, it dropped into my 1000HX Power Supply!!!

Sparks flew up and a breaker in the house tripped. After resetting everything and getting the screw out of the power supply, everything seems to work just fine.

Is it possible I could have caused some kind of damage that I cannot yet see or since it all booted up ok, am I ok to keep using it.

Thanks,
-JD

I would suspect it would not be a problem but try to inspect where the screw was shorting and see if there is any damage to be sure. Especially sice the breaker tripped more than likely it will be fine.

Wow it still works... There isn't any danger if you keep using it, but I would monitor it for any possible issues. Also have a listen to it to see if its making any new or odd noises.

Keep an eye on your psu for a long time and see what's happening.
