  1. Hey everyone, thank you so much for your persistent interest in my small litte tool - I am kinda surprised that there is still no official support for this feature. Originally, I intended this project to be a temporary thing until the official implementation is there - seeing that more than 1 1/2 years later, people still use it was a bit odd and not planned ;) It being just a temporary app, I didn't think I would need to maintain anything, hence the inactivity. Oh, and thanks to bpsmicro for the fix :) I want to quickly address all questions. "Can you make it open source?" I'd love to, but the project, in it's temporary nature, was unfortunately not backed up by me - and the code went down the drain on one of my numerous system cleanups... sorry :c "I am having problems on Windows 10" Please use bpsmicro's fix for now "Why is it contacting 5.196.26.58?" That was the ip of my old server, where a file with version info was laying around - for auto updating. Not that I provided any updates to update to... "I'm having problems with the function of the program" Unfortunately, I cannot fix them without the original project file :/ "The window for switching to idle takes focus when opening" Unfortunately, CUE checks which window has focus and adjusts the current profile based on that, so I need to have the window focused in order for the tool to work. You could try configuring CUE to switch to your idle profile when your DVD player has focus. Just disable IdleKey for the time your are watching you movie. Seeing that there is still interest in this tool and the current version is far from perfect, I suggest we build the whole project again from ground up, but this time in a pseudo-professional and sustainable manner: -Open source with public github repository -(more or less) frequent updates in case changes were made -Structured and fully commented code for other developers to join / edit later on -(Rudimentary) Bug tracker (on github or this form) so we can fix problems and add wanted features -Other suggestions welcome I'll start the work in the next couple of days. Github repo will be available shortly. All other developers are more than welcome to join in. Thanks again Greetings, nyjan
  2. Hey theace, could you please try playing Dragon Age with the custom input checker enabled (it's new in version v1.2)? Maybe that helps. IdleKey should no longer react to Controller Input, and this should also (hopefully) fix the issue when playing normally. Also I added a function to show off the issue with the lockscreen. Enable the session lock mode in the debug options (you need to assign a profile to "LockedModEXE.exe" first!), hold down your Windows key until the profile changes (IdleKey is now in locked mode) and then you can lock windows. As you can then see, it will switch back to the onboard profile, no matter what I do. After unlocking windows, you can see how IdleKey detects the unlock and switches back the profiles. It's just not possible to work around this. Sorry! Bug I hope I can help with the DA issue.
  3. Nice to hear from you again ^^ Yeah, as I already stated above, the lockscreen issue is unfixable (for me), since it is handled by the cue software which I have no influence on. Corsair has to fix this, sorry. The other issue is quite strange, it (obviously) shouldn't behave like this at all. I think I have an idea how to work that out, and it would be great you could test my build when it's worked out ^^ I'll pm you when I'm done. Rgds
  4. The lockscreen issue is unfixable right now, due to cue limitations, sorry. The thing that it doesn't switch back will be fixed with the next patch, already worked that out. The ir thing is doable, I'll answer your pm shortly ^^ Rgds
  5. I'm sorry to report, but it seems like corsair's software is (again) the limiting factor here. I tested 4 different methods, always the same result: The software works, the profile switches in time (on desktop), but as soon as you enter the lockscreen, it turns to your ondevice-saved profile. But at least I've got a small "fix": In the CUE, got to the profiles, select your idle profile from the dropdown menu, click the three bars next to it and click "Save to device memory". Note that this can ONLY display solid background lighting... :/ In the next build, I'll include an option, so you can test it for yourself. This were probably 8-9 hours of my spare freetime wasted (had test-week, about 15 tests) But anyway, have a nice one ^^ rgds
  6. Thank you :) Do you mean, that your idle profile on the CUE is active, or is it enabled by IdleKey?
  7. You seem to be right. I need to test some stuff to see what's the reason of this bug. Thank you for your feedback, I'll try to fix this ^^ rgds
  8. Thank you :) I may release the code when it's fully cleaned up and optimized (althrough there is not much to optimize here :P). To get the Idletime, I have a thread running that runs GetLastInputInfo from user32.dll every 100ms and compares the result to the values you've set. It then starts the ProfilEXE files depending on the idletime. The ProfilEXE files themselfs turn their opacity down to 0% once shown and then Activate (Focus) themselfs every 100ms to make sure that the profile is still shown, even if other programs open a dialog.
  9. To switch to Automatic profile switching, rightclick the CUE tray icon and select Automatich profile switching from the list of profiles.
  10. IdleKey v2 is currently in the making. Please check back later. For more info, check my post at page 5. v1.2 is deprecated for now. If you still need it, you can download the original file for Windows 7 or the fixed version for Windows 10 below. Windows 10 fix kindly provided by bpsmicro. Thanks! Thanks for your interest in the project. Greetings, nyjan IdleKeyv1.2.zip IdleKeyv1.2 Win10 fix.zip
