Default Corsair_FieldUpdater_1 is not detecting my Force 3 120 GB

I've updated the firmware to 5.02 with no problems, but since I have from time to time some problems with the pc freezing(still working but the mouse and keyboard are disabled and it doesn't wake up) or just rebooting when using genius driver software to detect hardware I wanted to revert the firmware to 1.3.3. It worked once to revert it and the go back to 5.02, but now I it doesn't show my SSD in order to be able to select it for update.

What can I do in this case? Please help me!

I would try the Flash Utility that came with the FW 5.02 but point it to the 1.3.3 FW File and see if it will see the drive.

It doesn't work with none of the flash utilities(although both have the same version).

Does it see the drive?
If not please check that you have it in AHCI Mode and try it on another system.
And if you are booting the O.S. from this drive you may need to use another HDD to post the O.S.

I don't know if this is directly helpful. I just got a Force 3 240 GB drive, and the first thing I wanted to do was update the firmware. But before I did the firmware check, I partitioned and formatted the drive.

The result in the firmware updater tool was that the serial number was not displayed, and the capacity was displayed as something like 9 million TB!

Once I deleted all the partitions, the drive was properly recognized, with the right capacity.

The drive was already at FW 5.02, and it works fine in my laptop. I bought the laptop upgrade kit that costs $10 more than just the drive. For the extra $10, I got a neat cable and disk cloning software. All worked fine, and wow, is my laptop faster now.

I found that somehow the Intel Rapid Storage Technology had something to do with this and with the rebooting when a program was trying to detect the hardware. I've uninstalled it and now the tool detects the ssd and I was able to revert the firmware to 1.3.3. I'll see if the pc is still freezing after this.

Its seems fine now and the ssd doesn't hang on sleep, it wakes up nicely it seems. I've updated to FW 5.02 becuase it says it does the fix for this wake up thingie but for me it doesn't fixes it.
