Default Can the Corsair Link change Corsair SP120 fan speeds?

I was thinking of picking up a 8x SP120 Quiet Edition (QE) fans for my 3 radiators (1x240mm, 2x120mm). However, after reading up on the Corsair Link , it seems like a better idea to go with 8 SP120 High Performance Edition (HPE) fans and use the Corsair Link software to adjust their speed based on CPU and GPU temperature instead. This would allow for quiet operation during non-intensive use and high performance for intensive use.

Will the Corsair Link be able to control the fan speed of the Corsair SP120 High Performance Edition fan? Will it be able to bring the noise of a SP120 HPE down to the noise levels of a SP120 QE fan? What will the adjustable RPM range be for a SP120 QPE fan?

Found my answer in this thread, http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=108507

It appears the SP120 fans can be controlled by the Corsair Link, but only if they are connected directly to the Corsair Link Cooling Node. Note, this is a separate physical unit from the Corsair Link Commander.
